我国自行研制、生产和成功发射的第一颗人造地球卫星“东方红一号”、第一颗返回式遥感卫星、第一颗试验通信卫星和第一艘载人试验飞船“神舟一号”都诞生在这里。先后成功地完成了科学实验、返回式、对地遥感、资源勘探、导航和通讯等系列60多颗卫星和多艘飞船的结构研制、总装测试及发射服务等任务，为我国航天事业和空间技术的发展做出了重大贡献。

 The first man-made earth satellite “dongfanghong no.1”, recoverable remote sensing satellite, experimental communication satellite, and manned experimental aircraft “shenzhou no.1”are all of independent research,production, launch here. It has successfully finished structure research, assemble test, and launch services of more than 60 satellites of recoverable , remote sensing, resource exploration,navigation,communication and some space aircrafts, that it has made a significant contribution to our country’s  aerospace industry and space technology.
